Job Summary
The Human Resources Assistant will provide day-to-day support to the HR team at CNTower. This role will be the first point of contact for employees and managers, providing administrative support to the Director, HR.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Director, HR to ensure timely completion of initiatives, objectives, and projects.
- Prepare meeting documents, reports, and correspondence by gathering information and conducting research.
- Manage communication with the HR team, including employee newsletter submissions.
- Maintain the departmental calendar and initiate various cycle processes.
- Support employee engagement programs, including tracking awards and organizing celebrations.
- Work with the Director, HR on monthly Amex reporting and processing.
- Manage Delegation of Authority and Hospitality agreements.
- Provide administrative support to the HR team.
- Maintain the CN Tower organizational chart and update it monthly.
- Coordinate processing of vendor invoices and purchase orders.
- Assist with HRIS data entry, employment equity, and employee records.
- Direct employee inquiries to the HR team.
HR Office Management
- Assist with records management, including data tracking, labeling, and file storage.
- Schedule HR team meetings and prepare meeting agendas and minutes.
- Maintain current and accurate employee files.
Recruitment and Onboarding
- Work with the Senior HR Advisor to complete full-cycle recruitment functions on the Applicant Tracking System.
- Manage and follow up on the administration of the Progressive Corrective Action process.
- Support new hire orientation.
Qualifications
- A relevant college diploma or university degree in Human Resources or Employee Relations.
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation in progress or achieved.
- A minimum of two years of related experience in Human Resources.
- Experience in a hospitality and tourism industry is an asset.
