About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Tax Director to join our team and contribute to our continued success. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and executing the activities of the Tax function.
The successful candidate will have oversight of all tax-related matters, including strategic tax planning, compliance, and regulatory affairs. You will provide guidance and support to senior management on tax-related issues, ensuring that our company remains compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership and Direction: Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize liabilities while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and local tax laws and regulations, overseeing accurate and timely submission of all tax filings.
- Tax Planning and Reporting: Prepare and review tax filings, tax provisions, and other required documents, staying updated on tax law changes and analyzing their impacts on company operations.
- Process Optimization and Policy Development: Identify and implement opportunities for improving tax procedures and overall efficiency within the department.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate taxation, preferably in a publicly traded company.
- Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards, including GAAP and IFRS.
- Experience with Wolters Kluwer tax software and NetSuite or OneStream would be considered an asset.
- Certification in CICA In-Depth tax course is required.
Our company offers a competitive salary range of $150,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a generous retirement plan.
