Job Summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead the Barrie Bayside Mission Centre. As a key member of the organization's leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to ensure the effective delivery of programs and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and direction to the management team, ensuring the successful implementation of programs and services.
  • Develop and execute long-term strategic initiatives, aligning with the organization's mission and vision.
  • Ensure compliance with Salvation Army standards, legalities, and best practices.
  • Oversee all property transactions, development, and inventory for the ministry unit.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with funders, community stakeholders, and staff.
  • Prepare annual budgets and revenue projections for the department.
Organizational Responsibilities
  • Develop an understanding of the Mission of The Salvation Army in Canada and its implications as related to position responsibilities.
  • Maintain information in confidence as required.
  • Participate as an active and responsible team member.
  • Represent the organization in a professional and engaging manner.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate University degree (e.g. MSW, B.A., B.Sc.).
  • Minimum of five (5) years of prior related experience working with marginalized clientele in a social services setting.
  • Valid Ontario Class G driver's license, own vehicle, and insurance.
Working Conditions
  • This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week.
  • Schedule may vary according to requirements of responsibilities.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
