We are seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team at Hydro-Flo Plumbing and Heating Ltd. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in various commercial, institutional, and residential settings.
Key Responsibilities- Installation and Maintenance: Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
- Pipe Work: Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors. Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings.
- Testing and Quality Control: Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges. Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
- Tool Management: Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size. Use various tools and equipment, including couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
- Certifications and Licenses: Plumber Trade Certification, Natural Gas License, Plumber Red Seal Certificate, and Gas Fitter Red Seal Certificate.
- Security and Safety: Bondable, basic security clearance, criminal record check, and driving record check (abstract).
- Transportation and Travel: Valid driver's license and vehicle supplied by the employer.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, hand-eye coordination, handling heavy loads, overtime required, and working under pressure.
