Job Title: Plumber - Maintenance and Repair Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Plumber - Maintenance and Repair Specialist to join our team at Hydro-Flo Plumbing and Heating Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plumbing systems.

Work Setting

Our Plumber - Maintenance and Repair Specialist will work in various locations, including commercial, institutional, and residential settings. You will be required to travel to different sites, and a valid driver's license is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
  • Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings.
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
  • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size.
Certifications and Licenses

Our ideal candidate will hold a Plumber Trade Certification, Natural Gas License, Plumber Red Seal Certificate, and Gas Fitter Red Seal Certificate.

Security and Safety

We require our Plumber - Maintenance and Repair Specialist to undergo a criminal record check, driving record check, and basic security clearance.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

This role is physically demanding and requires excellent hand-eye coordination, handling heavy loads, and working under pressure.
