About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at Spectrum Health Care Inc. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our patients in a facility setting in Thornhill.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, toileting, skincare, and light meal preparation.
  • Continuously assess, anticipate, identify, and respond to new and changing needs of patients, and communicate available resources to patients when appropriate.
  • Perform delegated and/or assigned tasks under the supervision of a Home Support Supervisor.
  • Travel within assigned regions between patients' residences or facilities.
  • Communicate effectively in English and Mandarin/Cantonese.
Requirements
  • Valid Personal Support Worker Certificate from a Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities or the Ministry of Education approved program.
  • RN/RPN Student with a minimum successful completion of year one of the program.
  • Internationally licensed Nurse, Midwife, or Physician.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional personal care and customer service.
  • Valid Standard First Aid and Level C CPR.
  • Updated immunization record, including TB Test (last 6 months).
  • Proficient verbal and written English communication skills (additional language skills considered an asset).
