We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Bioanalytical Scientist to join our team at ITR Laboratories Canada Inc. Our mission is to bring new medicines to the world, relieving patients suffering from serious diseases. As a trusted partner in Drug Safety Testing, we have established ourselves in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries for over 30 years.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working to GLPs, SOPs, and current industry best practices. Key responsibilities include extraction techniques, operation of LC-MS/MS instruments, analysis, documentation, data interpretation, and summary of results. Additionally, the candidate will respond to QA comments and assist in daily laboratory tasks.

This is a permanent full-time position, offering a stimulating and friendly work environment. The ideal candidate will have a College or Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field, with experience and knowledge of analytical instrumentation. Strong team player skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and data interpretation skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work to GLPs, SOPs, and current industry best practices;
  • Extraction techniques (protein precipitation, liquid-liquid and SPE);
  • Operation of LIQUID CHROMATOGRAPHY & MASS SPECTROMETRY instruments (LC-MS/MS);
  • Analysis, documentation, data interpretation, and summary of results;
  • Respond to QA comments;
  • Assist in the daily operational tasks of the laboratory;

Requirements:

  • College or Bachelor of Science B.Sc. (Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field);
  • Experience and knowledge of analytical instrumentation (LC-MS/MS);
  • A strong team player with excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Skilled in data interpretation and contributing to report writing;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • At least 6 months experience in a similar role is required.
