About This Role

This strategic leadership position is an excellent opportunity for a high-achieving professional to drive organizational success and growth in the Government of Canada - Western. As an Account Vice President, you will play a key role in allocating resources, establishing financial and administrative controls, and coordinating the work of regions, divisions, or departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Resource Allocation: Allocate material, human, and financial resources to implement organizational policies and programs.
  • Department Establishment: Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Co-ordinate the work of regions, divisions, or departments.
  • Financial Management: Establish financial and administrative controls; formulate and approve promotional campaigns; and approve overall human resources planning.
  • Policy Development: Establish objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs.
  • Representation: Represent the organization, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization, in negotiations or other official functions.
  • Leadership Selection: Select middle managers, directors, or other executive staff; delegate the necessary authority to them and create optimum working conditions.

Requirements

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Location: Work must be completed at the physical location, with no option to work remotely.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 per year, based on industry standards and the location of the Government of Canada - Western.
