Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Radiologic Technologist to perform procedures in both the laboratory and in diagnostic imaging, typically in rural sites. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with patients and all members of the healthcare team.

About the Role

This position requires the ability to collect and analyze biological specimens, conduct X-ray examinations, ECGs, and report results. You will also be responsible for preparing patients, performing venipuncture and micropuncture, routine equipment maintenance, maintaining supplies, and performing quality control procedures as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze biological specimens, conducting X-ray examinations, ECGs, and reporting results
  • Prepare patients, perform venipuncture and micropuncture, routine equipment maintenance, maintain supplies, and perform quality control procedures
  • Operate, calibrate, and perform basic troubleshooting on selected instrumentation and reporting equipment malfunction
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quality control problems and follow up with Charge Technologist
  • Investigate and document quality control problems and follow up with Charge Technologist
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Completion of diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT)
  • Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologists (ACCLXT)
  • Ability to work various shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and take call by responding within 30 minutes
  • Demonstrate high level of organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to assess unusual test results and proceed with established procedures for follow-up with senior staff, pathologists, and physicians
Estimated Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this position is between $35.45 and $46.69 per hour.
