Wright Construction Services Inc. is seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman/Woman Carpenter to join our team.
Job Summary:We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Carpenter to work on various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
- Instructing apprentices and providing guidance and support.
- Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in carpentry.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that require bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting.
- Carpenter Red Seal Certificate.
- Working at heights training.
- First Aid Certificate.
- WHMIS Certificate.
- Fall Arrest Protection Training Course.
- CSTS Certificate.
