Billing Compliance Specialist

Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Compliance Specialist to assist in all phases of intake and client billing requirements. This role requires strong technical skills, time management, and interpersonal skills to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Determine appropriate rates for clients and matters, ensuring consistency with engagement letters and agreements.
- Set up and maintain client/matter rates and budgets in accounting systems and ebilling platforms.
- Liaise with clients on rate submissions and resolve issues.
- Implement client rate renewals and apply approved changes to timekeeper rates.
- Collaborate with the Pricing and Legal Project Management team to obtain new rates and client agreements.
- Expertise in rates management structures in Aderant to support the billing process.
- Provide guidance to the Billing and e-Billing team on rates and special fee arrangements.
- Maintain and update training documentation and recordings on billing rates and special fee arrangements.
- Communicate effectively with peers, management, external vendors, and contacts at all levels of the organization.
The ideal candidate will have a College diploma or University Degree in a business discipline, with a minimum of three years of relevant experience. Prior experience in finance, billing, or project management in the legal or professional services industry is preferred.
The successful candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, efficient organizational skills, and the ability to perform at high levels in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word, is required. Knowledge of SQL and experience with ebilling platforms and accounting systems are assets.
