Job Description

This role requires extensive experience in retail banking, a strong understanding of market trends, and a proven ability to drive business growth. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams, develop and implement strategies to enhance customer experience, optimize financial performance, and expand our market presence.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Functional Leadership: Oversee consumer banking operations across all regions.
  • Team Leadership and Coaching: Provide leadership and coaching to direct reports to maximize sales, member experience, business and community development, and operational performance.
  • Employee Engagement: Maintain high employee engagement through effective communication, regular coaching, and mentorship.
  • Succession Planning: Develop succession plans for key positions and ensure personal development plans are completed and implemented for internal candidates aspiring to advance their careers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant or related field, or a combination of experience and post-secondary education. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years in a management capacity within consumer banking.
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial statements and the impact of decision-making at the enterprise level.
  • Familiarity with Standards of Sound Business Practices and the Credit Union Act and Regulations.
Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive base salary, reviewed annually, with a range of $184,400 - $204,900. Additionally, we offer extended health care, dental coverage, disability coverage, RRSP contributions, and special banking perks.
