Role Overview

NearSource Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to drive innovation and foster technological growth in Canada. As a key member of our dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by leveraging your analytical expertise to inform business decisions.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires at least 3 years of experience in data analysis, with a proven track record of driving business outcomes through data-driven insights. You will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets, designing analytic events, and creating effective Looker dashboards to track key gameplay metrics.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze large datasets to understand relationships between game elements, player engagement, and marketing strategies using statistical analysis and data visualization techniques.
  • Design and maintain efficient, reliable Looker dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Product teams and development partners to design and execute A/B testing plans, uncovering complex interactions between game elements.
  • Regularly share insights and findings with development, management, and data science teams to drive strategy and decision-making.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to shape game features, improve the game economy, and boost player engagement and retention.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related disciplines).
  • At least 3 years of experience in data analysis, with a proven ability to drive business outcomes through data-driven insights.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools like Looker or Power BI.
  • Strong grasp of databases and proficiency in writing SQL queries on platforms like Hive, Snowflake, and Presto.
  • Analytical thinking combined with a quantitative mindset, enabling effective problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Demonstrated business judgment, leadership, and integrity.
