Job Summary

The Food Prep Worker plays a vital role in the success of Aramark's culinary operations. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and portioning food items, ensuring that all products meet our high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare a variety of doughs, meats, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in ovens and other kitchen equipment.
  • Ensure consistent compliance with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Portion food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area, including tables, shelves, walls, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Close the kitchen properly and follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations, assisting others in closing the kitchen as needed.
  • Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement.
  • Promptly report equipment and food quality problems to the Manager.
  • Inform the Manager immediately of product shortages.
  • Use build sheets for preparing all products.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Manager.
Requirements
  • Minimum one-year prep work or food service-related work preferred.
  • Knowledge of food prep, proper knife handling, temperature control, and sanitation is helpful.
  • Must be able to read and write to facilitate communication with others.
  • Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
Physical Demands

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
