Culinary Operations Associate

The Food Prep Worker plays a vital role in the success of Aramark's culinary operations. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and portioning food items, ensuring that all products meet our high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare a variety of doughs, meats, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in ovens and other kitchen equipment.
- Ensure consistent compliance with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.
- Portion food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area, including tables, shelves, walls, and refrigeration equipment.
- Close the kitchen properly and follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations, assisting others in closing the kitchen as needed.
- Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement.
- Promptly report equipment and food quality problems to the Manager.
- Inform the Manager immediately of product shortages.
- Use build sheets for preparing all products.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Manager.
- Minimum one-year prep work or food service-related work preferred.
- Knowledge of food prep, proper knife handling, temperature control, and sanitation is helpful.
- Must be able to read and write to facilitate communication with others.
- Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
