Deliver Exceptional Guest Experiences

The Edmonton EXPO Centre is seeking skilled Bartenders to join our team. As frontline staff, Bartenders will provide exceptional service to clients, ensuring a positive and memorable experience. This role requires professionalism, poise, and attention to detail while maintaining the highest standards of service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide superior guest service and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Process drink transactions efficiently and accurately
  • Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons
  • Serve wine, beer, and mixed drinks from bar stations or provide butler service to tables or within a reception environment
  • Verify proof of age and ensure Duty of Care
  • Set up and take down bar units, load bar units with beverages and mixes, and maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Report any damaged equipment or product breakage/spillage to supervisors and take appropriate action
  • Understand, follow, and comply with the Edmonton EXPO Centre's Health and Safety policy, as well as relevant OH&S Regulations
  • Implement GBAC's infectious disease prevention measures and ensure all equipment is properly cleaned and disinfected
  • Support and promote the Edmonton EXPO Centre's sustainability commitment

Requirements:

  • Pro-Serve certification
  • Previous bartending experience is considered an asset
  • Excellent verbal communication and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Business-level English language proficiency
  • Knowledge of Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission rules and regulations
  • Additional courses such as First Aid training, wine tasting, and mixology are assets
