About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Counsel to join our team at Travelers Canada & International. As a Senior Counsel, you will be responsible for providing exceptional legal representation and expertise in all phases of litigation and trial.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Aggressive Handling of High Exposure Cases
  2. Complex Litigation Matters
  3. Exceptional Legal Research and Writing Skills
  4. Substantive Pleadings, Motions, Briefs, Discovery, and Other Legal Documents
  5. Proactive Identification and Communication of Exposure and Risk
  6. Internal and External Client Relationships
  7. Leadership and Collaboration with Claim and Business Partners
  8. Mentoring and Training of Other Attorneys and Legal Support Staff
  9. Internal and External Training, Seminars, and Legal Updates
  10. Quality Reporting and Analysis
  11. Special Projects and Business Needs
  12. Technology and Automation Utilization
  13. File Organization and Management
  14. Administrative Tasks and Reporting
  15. Travel as Required

Requirements

  1. Senior Associate/Partner Level of Experience
  2. Proven Track Record of Trial Skills and Techniques
  3. Exceptional Presentation and Oral Advocacy Skills
  4. Strong and Persuasive Writing Skills
  5. Active License to Practice Law
