Building Services Engineer

About the Role
CIMA+ is seeking a highly skilled Building Mechanics Engineer—Hybrid to join our team in Eastern Quebec. As a key member of our building services team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing plans and specifications for ventilation, air conditioning, heating, and cooling systems, as well as plumbing and fire protection systems.
- Develop and implement plans and specifications for building services systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct site surveys and studies to identify technical problems and develop solutions.
- Collaborate with the technical team to design and develop building services systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
- Prepare and present technical reports and progress updates to clients and stakeholders.
- Participate in the development of project budgets and fee estimates.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members.
- Attend client meetings and site visits to ensure project deliverables are met.
- University diploma in building services engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of five years' experience in building services engineering, preferably in a hybrid work environment.
- Membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) and a valid ASP Construction card.
- LEED accreditation or knowledge of sustainable development and energy efficiency principles.
- Proficiency in Revit software and working knowledge of building information modeling (BIM) techniques.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Fluency in French and good command of English.
