Job Title: Intermediate Building Mechanical Engineer - Quebec City

Laporte Experts-Conseils is a leading engineering firm specializing in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, food, and industrial engineering. We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Building Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Quebec City.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop HVAC and plumbing systems for factories and laboratories.
  • Design and implement factory utility systems, including steam, hydronic networks, compressed air, and clean gas systems.
  • Prepare technical specifications and studies, including principle studies, feasibility studies, and preliminary design reports.
  • Conduct surveys of existing installations, improve existing systems, and develop new solutions taking into account existing installations.
  • Evaluate building mechanics construction cost budgets.
  • Participate in site monitoring and services during construction.
  • Carry out energy optimization studies.
  • Project management.
  • Develop contact with customers to understand their needs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec.
  • 2 to 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in consulting engineering and/or in a factory in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or food fields is an asset.
  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and specialized software, e.g., AutoCAD, Revit.
