Family Medicine Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Medicine Physician to join our team in Barrhead, Alberta. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, from infants to seniors. Your expertise will be invaluable in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the well-being of our community.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide routine check-ups, health screenings, and vaccinations to patients of all ages
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, including mental health conditions
- Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as needed
- Perform minor surgical procedures, such as biopsies and suturing
- Collaborate with specialists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and guidelines
- Current Alberta Practice Permit or valid CPSA Letter of Eligibility
- Recent hands-on experience in family medicine, with a focus on community-based care
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Anesthesia Services diploma, with a minimum of six months of pre- and post-diploma experience
- Geriatric care experience and rural emergency room experience
