We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Medicine Physician to join our team in Barrhead, Alberta. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, from infants to seniors. Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Family Medicine Physician to establish a full-time practice in Barrhead. You will work collaboratively with our team of healthcare professionals to provide a wide range of services, including community clinic, emergency room coverage, anesthesia, inpatient, and outpatient services. Your skills and experience will be essential in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the growth and development of our community.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, including routine check-ups, health screenings, and disease management.
  • Work collaboratively with our team of healthcare professionals to provide a wide range of services, including community clinic, emergency room coverage, anesthesia, inpatient, and outpatient services.
  • Establish and maintain a full-time community-based practice in Barrhead.
  • Obtain and maintain an AHS Medical Staff Appointment and appropriate privileges to provide services.
  • Participate in quality improvement programs and initiatives undertaken within the Department of Family Medicine.
  • Participate in relevant Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs.
  • Contribute to and participate in other administrative duties, as assigned.
Requirements
  • Current Alberta Practice Permit or valid CPSA Letter of Eligibility to practice in the advertised position.
  • Recent hands-on experience within the past 2 years in all areas of practice noted within the job description, as the sole provider.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Anesthesia Services (Diploma required, with a minimum of six months of pre & post diploma experience, as the sole provider).
  • Geriatric Care.
  • Rural Emergency Room Experience.
