Overview

KPMG Canada is seeking a highly skilled Tax Specialist to join our Enterprise Tax practice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing tax planning and compliance services to our clients, utilizing your expertise in tax research and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of tax issues, including structuring of domestic and international investments.
  • Prepare corporate, partnership, trust, and personal tax returns.
  • Develop and prepare technical memos, instruction letters, and client reporting letters.
  • Design and implement income tax models.
  • Review corporate and personal tax returns for accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with clients and team members to ensure seamless delivery of tax services.
  • Support senior staff members in corporate tax initiatives.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a public accounting firm.
  • Successful completion of the CFE (or willingness to write in 2024) and CPA designation.
  • Enrollment in the In-Depth tax course or willingness to enroll.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team building skills.
  • Strong time-management abilities and self-motivation.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and adapt to changing deadlines.
  • Keen interest in tax planning strategies and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Excellent client service skills with a strong understanding of client needs.
