Overview

At KPMG Canada, we're seeking a highly skilled Tax Specialist to join our Enterprise Tax practice. As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of tax-related projects, from planning and compliance to research and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and analysis on various tax issues, including domestic and international investments.
  • Prepare corporate, partnership, trust, and personal tax returns.
  • Develop draft technical memos, instruction letters, and client reporting letters.
  • Prepare income tax models and review corporate and personal tax returns.
  • Assist senior staff members in corporate tax initiatives and interact with clients and team members.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a public accounting firm.
  • Successful completion of the CFE (or willingness to write in 2024) and CPA designation.
  • Enrollment in the In-Depth tax course or willingness to enroll.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team building skills.
  • Strong time-management abilities and self-motivation.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Excellent client service skills with an aptitude to understand clients' businesses and maintain strong relationships.
