Overview

At KPMG Canada, you'll be part of a diverse and dedicated team of problem solvers, united by a shared goal: turning insight into opportunity for clients and communities worldwide. As a Specialist in our Enterprise Tax practice, you'll excel in servicing the planning and compliance needs of our clients, participating in a broad range of tax-related work requiring qualitative and quantitative analysis and assessment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and analysis of various tax issues, including assistance with structuring domestic and international investments.
  • Prepare corporate, partnership, trust, and personal tax returns.
  • Develop draft technical memos, instruction letters, and client reporting letters for review by senior staff members.
  • Design and implement income tax models.
  • Review corporate and personal tax returns.
  • Assess tax provisions for larger audit and non-audit clients.
  • Collaborate with clients and team members.
  • Support senior staff members in corporate tax initiatives.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a public accounting firm.
  • Successful completion of the CFE (or willingness to write it in 2024) and possession of a CPA designation.
  • Enrollment in the In-Depth tax course or willingness to enroll.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team building skills.
  • Strong time-management abilities and self-motivation.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Keenness to assist in tax planning strategy development and implementation.
  • Willingness to learn new skills by researching various tax issues.
  • Excellent client service skills with an aptitude to understand clients' businesses and maintain strong relationships.
