Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Repair Supervisor to join our client's team in Regina. As a key member of the manufacturing facility, you will be responsible for overseeing the repair process and ensuring the highest level of quality and productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster a Productive Work Environment: Create a positive and efficient work atmosphere that promotes collaboration and teamwork.
  • Implement Daily Management System Processes: Utilize and teach Daily Management System processes to identify and address obstacles, ensuring a smooth and efficient repair process.
  • Communicate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Effectively communicate Plant KPIs and their impact on the team, ensuring everyone is aligned with the company's goals.
  • Lead and Coach Direct Reports: Provide guidance and support to direct reports, ensuring safety, quality, and production goals are met.
  • Assign Work and Evaluate Performance: Assign tasks, evaluate performance, and ensure required certifications and training are completed.
  • Enforce Safety and Regulatory Standards: Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and customer standards, and manage supply spend and waste.
  • Conduct Performance Evaluations and Manage Attendance: Conduct regular performance evaluations, manage attendance, and facilitate Toolbox meetings.
  • Perform Inspections and Manage Labour Scheduling: Conduct regular inspections and manage labour scheduling to ensure optimal productivity.
Requirements
  • Management or Supervisory Experience: Minimum 2 years of management or supervisory experience in a manufacturing facility.
  • Knowledge of Railcar Repair Techniques: Knowledge of railcar repair techniques and relevant regulations is an asset.
  • Welding Experience: Welding experience is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a proven safety record are required.
  • Strong Leadership and Collaboration Skills: Strong decision-making, leadership, and collaboration skills are essential.
  • Positive Attitude and Ability to Work Independently: A positive attitude, ability to achieve results, and work independently are required.
  • Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license and ability to work in various environmental conditions are necessary.
