Physical Therapist II

This exciting opportunity is for a Physical Therapist II to join our team in Vancouver, BC. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to work with children and youth with complex developmental and behavioral conditions.
Job DescriptionWe provide care for the most seriously ill or injured children and youth from across British Columbia. Our hospital is part of the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA), which plans, manages and evaluates specialized health services with the BC health authorities to provide equitable and cost-effective healthcare for people throughout the province.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Physiotherapy assessments using advanced skills, knowledge, and clinical reasoning within assigned areas.
- Develop and implement Physiotherapy treatment programs for clients/patients, including developing innovative solutions to assessment and treatment issues.
- Document information, including relevant clinical data, assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports.
- Assess the need for specific client/patient equipment and assist clients/patients and families to obtain necessary equipment.
- Maintain communication with clients/patients and families to foster optimal progress.
- Develop and/or participate in client/patient and family education.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary groups and teams, providing consultation, clinical advice, input, and suggestions related to client/patient management.
- Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy or Rehabilitation Sciences and/or licensure with the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia.
- Two years of recent related experience, including one year working with the designated patient population within BC Children's Hospital or BC Women's Hospital and Health Centre.
- 50 hours of post-graduate coursework/training related to additional procedures, techniques, or job functions for assigned areas.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in groups, one-on-one, and in writing.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.

Location and SalaryThe salary for this position is estimated to be around $85,000-$110,000 per annum, depending on experience. The location is at 4500 Oak Street, Vancouver, BC V6H 2N9.
