Animal Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team at 4 Paws 24hr Veterinary Hospital. This is a full-time position, with an estimated salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year.
About the Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, assisting veterinarians during surgeries, and performing laboratory tests. They will also be involved in administrative tasks, such as counseling clients and preparing medications. Key Responsibilities:- Collect samples and perform various laboratory tests to aid in diagnosing medical conditions.
- Assist veterinarians before, during, and after surgeries to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery, providing a safe and comfortable environment.
- Administer medications and vaccines under the direction of a veterinarian, ensuring accurate dosages and treatments.
- Counsel clients on animal health care, addressing their concerns and providing education on preventative measures.
- Perform routine animal dental procedures and assist veterinarians with dentistry tasks.
- Registration by a provincial or territorial, or regional association as Registered Animal Health Technologist, Registered Veterinary Technician.
- Experience working in an animal hospital setting, preferably with a veterinary practice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, veterinarians, and other staff members.
