Job Summary
IWK Health Centre is seeking a skilled Autism Intervention Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide clinical services to preschool-age children with autism, working collaboratively with families and healthcare professionals.
About the Role
This permanent, full-time position requires a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, Speech Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, or Board-certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The ideal candidate will have two years of recent experience working with children with autism, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Facilitate goal-setting processes with families related to their child's needs
- Provide assessments and develop intervention plans to address parent goals
- Work collaboratively with interprofessional teams to provide integrated care
- Supervise Program Implementers and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Participate in family education and work within various intervention frameworks
