Job Description:
The Educational Assistant will work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individual program plans for students. This role requires the ability to communicate fluently verbally and in writing in both French and English. The successful candidate will have a positive approach to working with students with social-emotional-behavioural needs and will be able to implement positive, proactive behavioural interventions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Completion of the Education Assistant Program at MacEwan University or equivalent post-secondary training.
- Ability to communicate fluently verbally and in writing in both French and English.
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training is an asset.
- Experience with assisting with the implementation of student Individual Program Plans.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility, and ability to work well with a strong, interdisciplinary team.
Salary and Benefits:
The estimated salary for this position is $25-$30 per hour, commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will also be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.

The Educational Assistant will work in a dynamic and supportive environment, with a team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of students. The role will require the ability to lift and toilet students as required and to be involved in a wide variety of activities that require some level of physical activity.
