About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Master Data Analyst to join our team at Canadian National Railway. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving business value through technology and business process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Update and maintain the accuracy of the Engineering Master Data in CN Enterprise Plant Inventory, Systems, Applications and Products (SAP), Geographic Information System (GIS) database, and Enterprise Geographic Information System (EGIS).
  • Collate and analyze complex data from multiple sources to develop actionable insights and support business processes.
  • Integrate spatial and non-spatial data formats and apply quality control procedures to meet the rigorous accuracy and network topology standards required for safe and efficient rail operation.
  • Track, update, and report on the progress of each asset change in workflow management system to comply with CN policies, standards, and strategies.
  • Perform basic spatial and non-spatial data queries and generate reports for various departments, including Engineering, Accounting, and Transportation.
Requirements
  • Between 1 to 3 years of experience in the geospatial industry.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Geography, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with geospatial emphasis.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
  • Knowledge of cartographic concepts and standards, AutoCAD Map 3D, GIS topologies, plans and drawings, Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI), ArcGIS Desktop, ArcMap Spatial Analyst, 3D Analyst, Network Analyst extensions, high precision Global Positioning System (GPS) technologies and post-processing, and Commercial Relational Database Management System (RDBMSs) such as Oracle.
