About the Role

CN is seeking a highly skilled Master Data Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving business value through technology and business process improvements.

Key ResponsibilitiesData Management and Analysis

• Update and maintain the accuracy of the Engineering Master Data in CN Enterprise Plant Inventory, Systems, Applications and Products (SAP), Geographic Information System (GIS) database, and Enterprise Geographic Information System (EGIS).

• Collaborate with various project teams and stakeholders on Engineering activities, ensuring seamless data integration and analysis.

• Develop and implement data quality control procedures to meet the rigorous accuracy and network topology standards required for safe and efficient rail operation.

• Generate reports for various departments, including Engineering, Accounting, and Transportation, using advanced data analysis techniques.

Support to Field Employees

• Provide coaching and expertise on Engineering systems to Field team members, ensuring they have the necessary tools and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.

• Assist Field team members in resolving Engineering systems-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.

Communication and Coordination

• Coordinate data package generation for different projects and technologies, such as Positive Train Control (PTC) and Autonomous Track Inspection Program (ATIP).

• Communicate effectively with various engineering disciplines and business teams to acquire spatial data, promote GIS initiatives, and coordinate updates.

• Foster collaboration and communication among teams, ensuring a cohesive and efficient work environment.

RequirementsExperience

• Between 1 to 3 years of experience in the geospatial industry, with a strong background in data analysis and management.

Education/Certification/Designation

• Bachelor's Degree in Geography, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with geospatial emphasis.

Competencies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

• Knowledge of cartographic concepts and standards, as well as AutoCAD Map 3D and GIS topologies.

• Fluently bilingual in English and French, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
