As a key member of our estimating department, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our construction estimates. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality homes to our customers while maintaining our reputation for excellence. Key responsibilities include:
* Conducting thorough cost calculations and quantity take-offs for residential construction projects
* Collaborating with estimators, purchasers, sales, construction, and selection studio team members to ensure seamless communication and project execution
* Reporting to the Estimating Supervisor and Estimating & Purchasing Manager
* Corresponding with trade partners and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and services
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* Residential construction experience, preferably with a focus on estimating and cost management
* Proficiency in computer applications such as Excel, Word, Sage 300 CRE, Builder MT, and other database-driven systems
* Strong knowledge of residential construction and the ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
* A detail-oriented and goal-driven approach to your work
