Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at CanWest Concrete Cutting & Coring Inc.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing estimates of labour and material costs for various construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
- Operate CADD and other computer software systems to create estimates and reports
- Provide economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects
- Analyze tenders and recommend awards for construction projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 2 years of experience in construction estimating or a related field
- Proficiency in CADD and other computer software systems
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
