Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team at Baycrest. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional care and service. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

The Personal Support Worker will be responsible for:

  • Providing physical and personal care support to clients, including hygiene, grooming, and dressing, as well as assistance with toileting, nutrition, and hydration intake.
  • Supporting patients' independence, dignity, social, emotional, and cultural well-being.
  • Initiating and maintaining relationships with clients, their families, and other care providers.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current P.S.W. certificate from a recognized community college or educational institute, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team, with effective management of challenging situations.
  • Experience working with clients with cognitive impairment/dementia and those who exhibit high-intensity responsive behaviors (an asset).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $$$45,000 - 60,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, you will have access to:
