About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Business Solutions to join our Digital Technology Services team at Capilano University. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for delivering ongoing leadership and management of the University's enterprise ecosystem and software architecture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team to design, deliver, and maintain the university-wide enterprise digital ecosystem and software architecture.
  • Build a high-performing team by developing employee strengths, coaching staff in critical competencies, and modeling valued leadership behaviors.
  • Collaborate across the university to modernize the current digital ecosystem and software architecture, reducing technical debt and improving decision-making capabilities.
  • Support a culture of data-informed decision making by collaborating with departments to develop standards and improve data access through integration engine implementation.
  • Provide direction for implementing, managing, and maintaining an ERP system.
  • Develop integrations between systems using the integration engine to reduce disparate systems and manual work.
  • Foster collaboration with faculty and administrative staff to identify business process improvements through effective use of digital solutions.
  • Manage and maintain university websites from a development and infrastructure perspective.
  • Engage in continuous improvement of enterprise business systems.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience, with 5 years in a leadership role with direct responsibility for enterprise business systems.
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience in information governance.
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Progressive technical knowledge of ERP platforms, development standards, and data governance.
  • Extensive knowledge of and demonstrated experience in systems development lifecycle.
  • Experience demonstrating strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication and interpersonal skills.
