At Giant Tiger, we're looking for a detail-oriented and organized Bilingual Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our HR team, you will provide essential support to various business units on HR-related transactions, ensuring compliance with HR policies and labour legislation.

About the Role:

The Bilingual Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the implementation of the people plan, including labour processes and tools, as assigned by the Manager, HR Business Partnerships.
  • Supporting communication and training on HR systems, programs, and processes to address functional area's HR needs and gaps.
  • Ensuring compliance with HR policies and labour legislation within your business unit.
  • Tracking, identifying, and reporting on Employee Relations issues and trends to HR Advisors, escalating key trends and metrics to the Manager, HR Business Partnerships.
  • Researching and sharing employment and labour law updates and industry best practices with the HR team.
  • Processing HR transactions in Workday, including leaves of absence and terminations, and supporting leaders with transactions as required.
  • Preparing and reviewing written documentation, such as termination letters, reports, investigation notes, and metrics.

Requirements:

  • Bilingual in French and English.
  • College or University degree in HR, Business, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience.
  • Ability to follow instructions thoroughly and execute with accuracy.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with technology, including Microsoft Office products with intermediate Excel skills.
  • Proven problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve issues effectively.
  • Responsive and effective communicator, providing prompt and accurate information.

Assets:

  • HR designation such as CHRP or CHRL, either in progress or completed.
  • Previous experience utilizing a ticketing software.
  • Previous experience using an HRIS, such as Workday.
