St. Boniface Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Patient Care Specialist. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing services to patients with complex and unpredictable health needs, including those requiring emergency care.
- Administer prescribed medical treatments and medications, and monitor patient responses to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and discharge, and ensure seamless transitions between care settings.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs and goals of each patient.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop effective care strategies.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure that patient needs are met and that care is delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advances in nursing care.
- Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program.
- Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
- Experience in emergency nursing or critical care is an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to prioritize care for multiple patients and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in computer software and applications, including electronic medical records and other healthcare systems.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is required.
- Knowledge of College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Registered Nurses and Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses.
- Experience with patient education and health promotion is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and communication.
