Director of Payment Operations

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Payment Operations team in driving strategic, operational, and data-driven improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in Payment Operations and Risk Management, with experience in influencing decisions related to product, pricing, and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain tactical fraud mitigation strategies across various payment fraud use cases and platforms.
  • Track, evaluate, and mitigate fraud occurrences, preparing the enterprise for new fraud developments.
  • Build and execute a new chargeback resolution strategy, maximizing win rates, minimizing chargebacks, and delivering excellent customer experiences.
  • Approve ad-hoc custom price events for new merchants, recommend new pricing strategies, and automate pricing models where necessary.
  • Define, implement, and maintain support flows, processes, and procedures to address and resolve in-market incidents and issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver and operate new payments products and markets.
  • Manage and grow the Payments Operations team, overseeing daily reconciliation and financial reporting.
Requirements:
  • Fintech expertise in operations, risk management, accounting, and finance.
  • Direct experience working with modern fintech/BaaS companies.
  • Influencer, partner, and leader with a data-driven mindset and analytical skills.
  • History of coaching high-performing teams and driving results through strategic improvements.
