Job Title: Land Management Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Land Management Specialist to join our team at the Government of Saskatchewan. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our agricultural lands, ensuring their optimal use and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement land management plans to achieve optimal crop yields and land productivity
  • Conduct site assessments and soil tests to determine land suitability and potential
  • Collaborate with farmers and agricultural stakeholders to promote best practices and sustainable land use
  • Monitor and report on land use and productivity, identifying areas for improvement
  • Develop and maintain relationships with landowners and stakeholders to ensure effective land management

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree in a related field, such as agriculture, environmental science, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in land management or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of agricultural practices and land use principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
