About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Deli Counter Clerk to join our team at Jelschen Foods Ltd. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems to maintain accurate stock levels and ensure efficient inventory management.
  • Provide expert advice to customers on our products, including meat, dairy, and other food items, to enhance their shopping experience and increase sales.
  • Assist in the display of merchandise, including arranging products in an attractive and visually appealing manner, to drive sales and customer engagement.
  • Maintain accurate sales records for inventory control, including tracking sales data and identifying trends to inform purchasing decisions.
  • Prepare and package prepared meats, slice cooked meats, and prepare meals to meet customer demands and ensure high-quality products.
  • Package take-out food and provide excellent customer service to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Will train on the job.
  • Work setting: Retail business, supermarket/grocery store environment.
  • Physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, manual dexterity, attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling, repetitive tasks, and standing for extended periods.
  • Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
