Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Structural Engineer to join our team at CIMA+. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing substation and power line structures, as well as energy transmission and distribution projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the supervision of project managers, take charge of specific aspects of projects related to substation and power line structures.
  • Manage files, planning, and administrative follow-up.
  • Ensure quality control of project-related practices.
  • Conduct studies and draft technical reports and specifications.
  • Coordinate and supervise the work of technicians and draftsmen involved in the projects for which you are responsible.
  • Visit project sites and participate in construction site supervision (when required).
  • Participate in the preparation of service offers.
  • In the medium term, you will be called upon to establish and maintain relationships with customers and become a project manager with the support of a mentor.
Requirements
  • University Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Member of l'Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
  • More than five (5) years of experience in structural design (mainly steel and concrete structures). Experience in substation or line structures design is an asset.
  • Interest in and ability to develop 3D design and modeling skills using a variety of commercial programs (SolidWorks, Revit, Civil 3D, etc.).
  • Knowledge of the PLS software suite (PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, PLS-TOWER).
  • Knowledge of structural analysis software such as SAFI or S-Frame (an asset).
  • Fluency in spoken and written French.
  • Autonomy, initiative, and ability to work as part of a team.
