About the Role

CIMA+ is seeking a highly skilled Civil Structural Engineer to lead our project team in the design and implementation of substation and power line structures. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing specific aspects of projects, ensuring quality control, and coordinating with technicians and draftsmen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Oversee the planning and administrative follow-up of projects related to substation and power line structures.
  • Quality Control: Ensure the quality of project-related practices and conduct studies to draft technical reports and specifications.
  • Team Coordination: Coordinate and supervise the work of technicians and draftsmen involved in the projects for which you are responsible.
  • Site Supervision: Visit project sites and participate in construction site supervision when required.
  • Business Development: Participate in the preparation of service offers and establish relationships with customers.
Requirements
  • Education: University Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Certification: Member of l'Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
  • Experience: More than five (5) years of experience in structural design, mainly steel and concrete structures, with experience in substation or line structures design an asset.
  • Skills: Interest in and ability to develop 3D design and modeling skills using commercial programs such as SolidWorks, Revit, and Civil 3D. Knowledge of the PLS software suite and structural analysis software such as SAFI or S-Frame an asset.
  • Language: Fluency in spoken and written French.
  • Personal Qualities: Autonomy, initiative, and ability to work as part of a team.
