Job Title: English Language Teacher

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced English language teacher to join our team at the British Council in Greece. As a teacher of English, you will play a vital role in shaping the lives of young learners and helping them achieve their full potential.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English to young learners aged 4-17, developing and delivering engaging lesson plans, and contributing to the evaluation and improvement of course materials. You will work closely with colleagues to ensure a high-quality learning experience for our students.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver 3-5 hour young learner lessons on agreed days/times, including Saturdays
  • Monitor, give feedback, and counsel students to encourage autonomy and progress
  • Contribute to the evaluation, development, and improvement of course materials and related services
  • Deliver courses to agreed timetables, plan, and manage courses purposefully and in accordance with syllabus and learning aims
  • Complete related administrative tasks, such as student registers and parent communications
  • Provide teaching cover as required for absent colleagues
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate and/or University degree
  • Cambridge CELTA or Trinity Certificate TESOL
  • Minimum 2-year post-certificate experience teaching a variety of age groups and levels

Contract Details:
