English Language Teacher

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced English language teacher to join our team at the British Council in Greece. As a Teacher of English, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality English language lessons to young learners aged 4-17, using a range of teaching methods and materials to engage and motivate students.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching English as a foreign language, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching young learners. You will have a CELTA or Trinity Certificate TESOL qualification and be able to demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English language lessons to young learners
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to encourage student autonomy
  • Contribute to the evaluation, development, and improvement of course materials and related services
  • Deliver courses to agreed timetables and manage courses purposefully and in accordance with syllabus and learning aims
  • Complete related administrative tasks, such as student registers and parent communications

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Undergraduate and/or University degree
  • CELTA or Trinity Certificate TESOL qualification
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching young learners
