As the Enterprise Architecture Director for the Americas, you will be responsible for defining and promoting the use of enterprise architecture standards, both in terms of technology standards and their intended application, with a focus on the Americas market.
The enterprise architecture standards will support the organization's strategic objectives, ensure optimal use of technology resources, and comply with pharmaceutical industry regulations.
You will collaborate closely with various teams, both global and local, to ensure that IT solutions align with the unique needs of the business and the pharmaceutical sector.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with senior management to understand business goals, identify technology needs, and propose IT solutions that support these goals.
- Design and implement comprehensive IT architectures, including application, data, security, and infrastructure architectures, to support the entire pharmaceutical lifecycle from research and development to manufacturing and distribution.
- Develop and maintain architecture roadmaps and ensure they are updated to reflect changing business needs and technological advancements.
- Evaluate, select, and integrate new technologies and systems to enhance the organization's capabilities in areas such as drug discovery, clinical trials, supply chain management, and regulatory compliance.
- Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive data, including patient information, intellectual property, and proprietary research data.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT architecture or a related area.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise IT architectures in a regulated environment.
- Excellent understanding of current and emerging technologies, including integrations, cloud computing, data & analytics, artificial intelligence, and security.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
- Knowledge of data governance and data management practices in the pharmaceutical industry.
