The Catholic Independent Schools of Nelson Diocese is seeking an Elementary Education Professional to join our team. As an Elementary Education Professional, you will be responsible for teaching students in a private school setting. Your duties will include attending educational conferences and workshops, discussing results and students' progress with them, their parents, and school officials, evaluating and documenting students' progress, participating in educational conferences and teacher training workshops, participating in staff meetings, assigning and correcting homework, developing course content, identifying children's individual learning needs, leading students in activities to promote their physical, mental, and social development and their school readiness, preparing and implementing remedial programs for students requiring extra help, preparing subject material for presentation according to an approved curriculum, preparing, administering, and correcting tests, and teaching students using lessons, discussions, audio-visual presentations, and field trips.

As an Elementary Education Professional, you will be required to have a Bachelor's degree, a Provincial or Territorial Teaching Certificate, and membership in a provincial or territorial teachers' association or federation. You will also be required to undergo a criminal record check and a vulnerable sector check.
