Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Skeena Gold + Silver Full time

At Skeena Gold + Silver, we are committed to leading the industry in reconciliation, diversity, and inclusion. As a Canadian mining company with a portfolio of exploration and development projects located in northwest British Columbia, Canada, we recognize the importance of fostering a positive workplace culture that values the contributions of all employees.

The People and Culture team plays a vital role in shaping this culture, and as an intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our efforts. Reporting directly to the VP, People and Culture, you will assist in various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, and system needs.

One of your key responsibilities will be to support the HR team in preparing for recruitment campaigns, conferences, job fairs, and community events. You will coordinate activities to increase sourcing opportunities through outreach, social media, partnerships, and community relationships.

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) is also a critical aspect of this role. You will post new roles to Skeena's career page and partner recruitment websites, collaborate with the People and Culture team to support hiring and onboarding activities, and provide general administrative and data entry support as required.

In addition, you will maintain employee records and HR databases with accuracy and confidentiality, update and maintain HR documents on SharePoint, conduct research on HR initiatives and project plans, and improve processes by streamlining administrative requirements.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in human resources and develop your skills in areas such as training materials development, scheduling and coordination, and joint health and safety committees.

We offer a competitive salary of $55,000 - $60,000 CAD per year, depending on experience, and a fixed-term contract running from January through April 2025. This internship is perfect for students enrolled in a recognized or accredited post-secondary institution, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
