About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional to spearhead our safety-first culture and drive excellence in health, safety, and environmental performance. As Regional Health & Safety Manager at Vector Construction Ltd., you will be responsible for championing a proactive mindset across all divisions and projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive awareness and accountability for environmental, health, and safety performance
  • Analyze potential safety issues to enhance Vector's culture
  • Act as a subject matter expert and resource for divisions, managing local safety programs and site-specific requirements
  • Oversee company-wide safety and compliance programs, including training initiatives and online compliance efforts
  • Conduct site audits and support divisions to ensure project completion in line with safety and environmental regulations
  • Develop and present annual HS plans, goals, and reports, driving continuous improvement
  • Assist in incident management, investigations, and corrective action design
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements
  • Monitor and inspect sites regularly
  • Manage and document the administration of the company's safety program
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of safety management experience, with at least 5 years in construction
  • Thorough understanding of Health & Safety Acts, Policies, Regulations, and Industry Standards in construction
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Teams, SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Valid driver's license, satisfactory driving record, and ability to pass Vector drug testing requirements
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout Canada and internationally (50-60% of the time), necessitating a passport and ability to cross borders
Estimated Salary Range:

$85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience
