Job Title: Retail Store Supervisor

We are seeking a skilled Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at Esso Gas & Convenience Store. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our retail store, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of sales performance.

About the Role:
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of sales workers, including assigning tasks and duties.
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff members to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Authorize payments by cheque, order merchandise, and manage inventory levels.
  • Sell merchandise and prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters.
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer complaints, supply shortages, and other operational challenges.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of sales transactions, inventory levels, and employee performance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve sales performance, increase customer satisfaction, and reduce costs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve business objectives and promote a positive work culture.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field (not specified in base job description).
  • Minimum 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in retail management or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
