Job Title: Physiotherapist

We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our team at Calian Patient Support Program. As a Physiotherapist, you will play a vital role in supporting our patients in hospital settings throughout Ottawa.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an educational program approved by the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and hold a current license in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. A minimum of 2 years of experience in hospital settings is required, with bilingualism (English and French) being an asset.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' physical and functional abilities, identifying causes of deficits and creating personalized treatment plans to improve independence and function.
  • Deliver physiotherapy and rehabilitation interventions using evidence-based approaches and best practices, in accordance with applicable regulatory standards and scope of practice.
  • Obtain and document informed patient consent for assessment and treatment, providing accurate explanations and instructions.
  • Provide screening assessments, education, and orthoses recommendations in a direct access setting, prescribing exercises to rehabilitate and prevent injuries.
  • Offer ergonomics education, including on-site assessments in patients' workplaces, and provide physiotherapy-related education to patients and healthcare teams on injury prevention and health promotion issues.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an educational program approved by the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
  • Current license in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in hospital settings.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
