Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Delivery Driver to join our team at Glidex Delivery and Janitorial Services. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely operating a vehicle to pick up and deliver various items and products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Drive Vehicles: Safely operate a variety of vehicles, including automobiles, vans, and light trucks, to pick up and deliver items and products.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by being professional, courteous, and responsive to customer needs.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Task Management: Assemble, install, and set up merchandise/products, and keep a record of items received and delivered.
  • Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance, including fuel costs and vehicle mileage.
Requirements
  • Class 5/5F/G Licence: Possess a valid Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles).
  • Transportation Experience: Have local transportation experience and be familiar with maps and trip planning aids.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to handle heavy loads, work in a fast-paced environment, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Personal Qualities: Possess excellent oral communication skills, be a team player, and have a client-focused approach.
